The Quiet World

I arrived in the quiet world, just to watch nature die
Making money form the last place alive
Strip malls and seaside apartment blocks that kiss the sky
Thank god for the new world, gets me high

The world ends with, no one left alive
Recreate with the ones we find
Trendies, chavs Goths and toffs,
The only ones left behind
Taste the money, and process the last place alive
Pickle animals in formaldehyde

Creative processes are censored, controlled and contrived
X-factor rejects sponsor musical genocide
Simon Cowell as Elvis, re-write history
Processed for the servile new breed
Milk them dry

What we had has all just gone away
The quiet world, the quiet world
All we sold cannot be given back
The quiet world, the quiet world

The world exists, has never done before
All natural thought has ended
Been replaced by synthetic,
Carbon molded plastic
All my friend’s have all been taken away
To Cardiff , Brighton, or Scotland
I could replace them with robots
As a total job lot

What we had has all just gone away
The quiet world, the quiet world
All we sold cannot be given back
The quiet world, the quiet world

We’re destroying the quiet world,
You make your money then you die
And fill the world, with generic stereotypes
Just like shapes in windows, it keeps things simple
So safe and simple
Vanilla things we took for granted before
Must watch the words you’re saying
The middle class morons, are watching

What we had has all just gone away
The quiet world, the quiet world
All we sold cannot be given back
The quiet world, the quiet world
